The Ibrahim Dainkeh Memorial Soccer Gala is an annual competition honoring a beloved soccer icon from the Kono District. In 2022, male and female secondary school teams competed in a group-stage format, with trophies, medals, cash prizes, soccer balls, volleyballs, and additional prizes awarded to winners and runners-up. Individual honors were also presented for Best Player, Best Goalkeeper, and Highest Goal Scorer.

The KAPA Annual Prestigious Awards Night recognized outstanding individuals and organizations for their contributions to the Kono District. In 2022, honorees were celebrated across categories including philanthropy, humanitarianism, education, and community service. Posthumous awards were also presented to honor those whose legacies continue to shape the district.


























The KAPA Free Street Carnival was held on December 29th at Opera Main Street, Koidu, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Open to everyone at no cost, the 2022 carnival brought the community together through live entertainment and gave attendees a chance to reconnect with old friends and make new ones.

KAPA delegates visited Koidu Government Hospital to donate essential items to newborns, pregnant women, and children under five — including those experiencing malnutrition. Donations included clothing, hygiene products, feeding supplies, and baby care essentials.

Professor Juldeh Sesay, in partnership with KAPA members, hosted a town hall meeting at the Fillie Faboe Multipurpose Hall. Secondary schools, higher learning institutions, technical institutes, and government bodies were invited to receive donated learning materials including textbooks, computers, laptops, projectors, printers, and science lab equipment.

Durring our annual events we had to highlight the touching moment when Mr. Alhassan Coker's well-deserved award was graciously accepted on his behalf by Mr. Mohamed Jabbie.
